Snapcase F.A.Q.:
Written by pocketfisherman and todd:
Q: What happened to _____(fill in ex member name here)?
A: Learn
Q: Was Frank really in a porno that Victory Records put out?
A: Victory allowed the use of their bands songs and images in a pornographic movie. It was done without any of the bands knowledge or consent. It was not the best moment for the label's artist relations, but it's over and done with. As bad as it was, they did not license out their artists themselves, so that wasn't Frank in the porno.
Q: What equipment does Snapcase use?
A: Todd's gear page is up to date for all guitar gear. Drum info will be added shortly.
Q: What snare did Tim use on the Progression Thru Unlearning album?
A: Jamie (Your Mom) supplied the following:
PTU Snare: Jon's 6x12 Ludwig (probably late 80's, early 90's model snare; shell is slightly out of round); discontinued finish (?) resembles current "Satinwood" line; coated Emperor batter head; Ambassador snare side head; triple-flanged hoops
Tim's Touring Kit: Mid-90's Sonor Force 3000 (Birch) in High Gloss Green (not Mint Green Stain) -- 22x16 bass, 13x11 tom, 16x16 floor; 14x5.5 Mapex Black Panther Birdseye Maple Snare
Cymbals: Various; 18" Sabian AAX Metal Crash (2); 18" AAX China, 10" Avedis Zildjian Splash; 20" Sabian Ride (don't recall which series...AA?); hi-hats are mix & match 14" bottom hats (Zildjian & Sabian).
Additional Studio Drums (for End Transmission recording); 22x18 (?) Mapleworks Bass. Various snares and toms, including Maryland Drum Company/Baltimore Drum (?) snare.
Q: When will you be playing in my town?
A: Check here the tour dates here first, then check here and click on shows, then here and scroll down to Snapcase. If you don't see anything listed it is because it is not confirmed. Once the shows are confirmed, we will be playing everywhere -- rocking the world one town at a time.
Q: Where do you guys stand on ________.
A: Snapcase is a band. We play music. We are not a political party. We don't have a platform. Snapcase is not a religion, diet, fashion or club. However, the various members believe strongly in different causes and functions. We hope that the lyrics of our songs reflect some of those passions, but it is up to you to live your life regardless of what some band thinks.
Q: What does Snapcase mean?
A: All art is interpretive. The name serves as an identifier. It means whatever you want it to mean. AltAnswer: It's Latin for boyband.
Q: Who writes the music and lyrics in the band?
A: It is a collaborative process to write the music. Members bring ideas together in various capacities. Daryl writes the lyrics.
AltAnswer: Barry Manilow writes the songs that make the whole world sing.
Q: How do I contact Snapcase?
A: Link to Contact page. You can send a private message to snapcase Frank on the Snapcase Message Board or email snapcase@snapcase.com.
Q: Are you guys straightedge?
A: It's irrelevant to the music. Do positive things with your life. If we chose not to drink or do drugs, it's a personal thing. Be yourself. Don't make lifestyle decisions because a rock band does or doesn't do something.
Q: Can my band open for Snapcase?
A: Those guys in Creed need to stop posting here.
Q: Was that a DFA shirt Karl Alvarez (All, Descendents) was wearing on the inlay of the all record Live+1?
A: Yes. You know you've made the big time when... _________________
